Barbara Allyn ACTT, ACI,
Thought Leader, Trauma-Response Professional & Creator of TRIBAL THEORY Certified Trauma Therapist, Author, Crisis-Intervention Specialist, Thought Leader Trauma-Response Professional & Creator of tribaltheoryglobal.ca Barbara Allyn is a Certified Trauma Therapist, Crisis-intervention Professional and Author with 25-years’ experience in active, front-line crisis response. She has evolved into a thought leader and paradigm shifter, through her ground breaking work on Sensory Dialogue, inter-generational trauma and post-traumatic growth (PTG). Barbara’s work is consistently described by front line responders, counsellors and whole communities as a “practical, easy-to-apply piece of genius.” She not only creates a powerful long term healing process, but has influenced post-traumatic growth and well-being existentially. Casualties of a traumatic event experience significantly higher feelings of constant threat, lack of control and severe physical, social and psychological challenges to their well-being. Not the mind, but the body is where memory is stored through our senses, (sounds, smells, touches, tastes), on a cellular level. The unique effects of trauma create a higher rate of Post Traumatic Moral Injury, (PTMI ). This Summit will give you the reality-based responses and copying strategies that can be applied in real time. Not only will you leave with new knowledge, but you will be given the opportunity to start implementing this knowledge through actual support and guidance which makes this a truly unique program like no others. Tribal Theory clearly identifies trauma in both complex states and traumatic bonding, as well as it’s impact on core values, noble belief and moral emotions from an ethical perspective. Using Tribal Theory framework; thought and cellular memory processes; that imprison survivors in constant states of threat (the sympathetic nervous system - fear response), and moral injury, are then transformed into states of safe belonging, meaning and healing (parasympathetic nervous system - relaxed calm). These positive moral emotions create psychological well-being and advanced post-traumatic growth on several levels. |
